New Delhi:

Aayush Sharma, who is debuting in the Hindi film industry with Loveratri, told news agency IANS that he always wanted to start his career as a romantic hero. However, he would like to shift to action genre as well. "For now, being a part of romantic films excites me. I always wanted to start off as a romantic actor. When I was growing up, I used to see actors going on mountains and doing romantic songs. I always wanted to do that but slowly, I would love to venture into action as well," Aayush told IANS. Aayush, who is Salman Khan's brother-in-law, is being launched by the superstar. He co-stars with Warina Hussain, who is also debuting with Loveratri. During the trailer launch, Salman has revealed that Aayush rejected about 10 scripts before finalising Loveratri for his debut.

Aayush, who never planned to become an actor, admitted that without Salman's support, it would have been difficult for him to get into the industry. "I never thought I could become an actor because it is very difficult to get a platform like Loveratri, and I didn't plan to become an actor. I never had any film contacts and I didn't even knew what is the right path to get into films. There are lots of talented actors out there who are struggling for a very long time, but they might not get an opportunity to work in a film like Loveratri. So, if in my case, if I wasn't launched by Salman bhai, then it would have taken a long time for me to work in films," Aayush told IANS, adding that he feel lucky to be part of Loveratri.

Loveratri is a romantic drama, which stars Warina as Aayush's love interest. The film is set in the backdrop of Navratri and also stars Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Salman Khan Films, Loveratri releases on October 5.
