New Delhi:
After Kangana Ranaut, it's time for Ankita Lokhande's first look from upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The Pavitra Rishta actress shared a (blur) picture from the sets of the film, which also features Vaibhav Tatwawaadi. She also shared a description of her character: "Jhalkaribai definitely knows the way to even a modern man's heart." However, Ankita's sass level was revealed with the hashtags which accompanied the picture - #ItsBlurForAReason. Yes, of course, Ankita wants to keep the actual first look of her character 'blur' till the makers are ready to release it.
Earlier this month, pictures of Kangana Ranaut in the middle of an intense action sequence from the sets of Manikarnika broke the Internet. Kangana plays the role of Rani Laxmibai, one of the earliest freedom fighters, who fought the East India Company. Kangana's research for her film involved exploring old "photographs and letters." She told news agency IANS: "I saw a lot of things here. I will be going to Jhansi and other places for research."
SS Rajamouli's father KV Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the scripts of the Baahubali films and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has written Kangana's film while Prasoon Joshi, Central Board of Film Certification chief, has written the song lyrics and additional screenplay for Manikarnika.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is directed by Krish (Gabbar is Back and Kanche) and it also stars Sonu Sood, Suresh Oberoi and Atul Kulkarni.
Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Simran and before that in Rangoon - both films tanked at the box office.
