  • Raai Laxmi apparently dated MS Dhoni for a while
  • 'It was a long time ago, he is happily married now,' she said
  • Raai Laxmi's debuting in Bollywood with Julie 2
New Delhi: Actress Raai Laxmi is trending again, this time not for her controversial film Julie 2 (yes, the one distributed by ex-Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani) instead because of an interview, in which she talked about her rumoured ex-boyfriend MS Dhoni. Raai Laxmi was asked about her alleged affair with the Indian cricketer and her reply was, 'Who's he?,' reported SpotboyE. Of course, it was rhetorical because she added: "This needs to have a full stop. It was a long time ago, he is happily married now, he has a kid. Everybody knows everybody in today's world and you may end up with a person tomorrow whom you don't know today. It is the process of life and certain things don't work out, and then you have to move on."

After a cameo in Akira, Raai Laxmi is debuting in Bollywood with Julie 2, which is a sequel to director Deepak Shivdasani's 2004 film Julie, which starred Neha Dhupia in lead role. The film first featured in headlines because of the bold poster, which went viral in a blink of an eye. Later, it was revealed that Pahlaj Nihalani, whom Twitter thinks is the self-appointed guardian of Indian morality as shown in the big screen, is presenting the film.

Of Julie 2, Raai Laxmi said: "Julie had already created a certain impression and I knew that people would expect the same from Julie 2. But when I heard the script, I realised that it is nowhere close to Julie. It is a genre which requires some skin show but it is not just because you want to show your body, it is just that its script demands it."

She echoed Pahlaj Nihalani's words, who told news agency IANS that Julie 2 is a 'clean adult film.' He said: "Though it's a film on an adult subject-the exploitation of strugglers and newcomers in Bollywood-the film has no nudity, no skin show, and no double-meaning dialogues. Like I said it is a family film for adults."

Julie 2 was cleared by the Censor Board with 'A' certification and no cuts. Julie 2 will release later this year.
