Vijay Deverakonda shared a special video thanking his fans and well-wishers for the love he received at the trailer launch of his forthcoming film, Liger. The actor posted a clip that features him and Ananya Panday rallying the streets in Hyderabad with flowers being showered on them by their fans. A 75-feet cut-out of Vijay was also installed outside Sudarshan theatre in Hyderabad. Giving fans a glimpse of the frenzy at the trailer launch event in both Hyderabad and Mumbai, Vijay wrote, "What a day, 24 hours of Madness..IIII Loveeee youuu. But job not finished yet, Job just started!"

The trailer was dropped on Thursday and it featured Vijay as a kickboxer. While Ananya plays his love interest, Ramya Krishnan plays his mother. Boxing icon Mike Tyson's cameo appearance takes the cake in the trailer. While sharing the video, Vijay wrote, "India, We give you Mass. Action. Entertainment. The LIGER Trailer!"
Besides Vijay, Ananya and producer Karan Johar, the trailer launch event in Mumbai was also attended by Ranveer Singh. The highlight of the event was when Ranveer hilariously trolled Vijay for wearing slippers. Ananya, however, looked gorgeous in a black cut-out dress. Both Vijay and Ananya also taught Ranveer the hook step of the song, Akdi Pakdi.
Earlier after releasing the trailer in Hyderabad, Ananya, who wore a red saree for the event, shared a video on Instagram and wrote: "Hyderabad!!!! You have my whole heart overwhelmed and grateful for all the love and excitement you guys have showered on our trailer. We will be reunited to celebrate with you again very soooon!!! LIGER releasing 25th August."
Liger releases August 25. It has been directed by Puri Jagannadh, who is known for helming projects like Pokiri, Loafer and iSmart Shankar.
