The trailer of the dark comedy Darlings released on Monday and it is trending even a day later. The film, which marks Alia Bhatt's debut as a film producer, also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. The film showcases the story of a mother-daughter duo, who plan to teach a lesson to Vijay Varma (who plays Alia Bhatt's husband in the film). Keeping up with the trends, Delhi Police's official Twitter handle decided to use a still from the film to share an important message. "Darlings don't share your OTP," read the tweet, which was accompanied by a film still of Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah. "Aware and vigilant citizens when asked to share their OTP," read the caption on the tweet. Noted, Delhi Police.

During the film's trailer launch in Mumbai on Monday, Alia Bhatt revealed how her co-producer and Dear Zindagi co-star Shah Rukh Khan reacted to the film and she told news agency PTI: "He said that we will have a lot of fun and enjoy shooting the film. He recently saw the film and in typical Darlings style, he messaged, Thanks you Darlings for doing this films."

Darlings marks the directorial debut of writer Jasmeet K Reen and it also stars Alia's Gully Boy co-star Vijay Varma. The film has been co-produced by Alia Bhatt's production house called Eternal Sunshine Productions and Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. SRK and Alia co-starred in the film Dear Zindagi. The film will release on OTT platform Netflix on August 5.
