Anil Kapoor to play lead in film on partition

Anil Kapoor has worked with Rajkumar Santoshi in Pukar and Lajja

  • The film is reportedly an adaptation of the play, Jis Lahore Nahi Dekhya Woh Jamiya Hi Nahin.
  • "The film will have a universal message - promoting harmony in times of intolerance," said Santoshi without disclosing further details.
  • Meanwhile, Santoshi is looking forward to the release of his directional venture, Shahid Kapoor-starrer Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, which will hit the theatres on September 20.
