
The electric vehicle segment has seen a rise in demand, keeping up with the trend and market need. Land Rover planned to introduce a Range Rover electric SUV by 2025 end. However, the recent news suggests that the brand has now postponed the launch of the EV to 2026.

Jaguar Land Rover has informed customers awaiting the Range Rover Electric that deliveries are now expected in 2026, revising its original late 2025 timeline. Also, according to reports, this delay may further push the launch of the 'reborn' Jaguar brand.

Range Rover Electric Launch Postponed
Reports suggest that Jaguar Land Rover needs more time and has now extended the testing for the Range Rover EV, also waiting for a stronger market demand. The JLR Range Rover electric SUV is going to be the very first EV to be entirely developed by the brand. Also, around 62,000 prospective customers have already signed up for the Range Rover Electric, out of which about 16,000 signed up in the first week.

As per previous statements, the Range Rover Electric will be powered by a 117 kWh battery pack, making it the biggest power unit in a production electric car. Also, it is expected to deliver a range of about 500 km on a single charge. Talking about the other specs, the Range Rover Electric will be equipped with a dual-motor powertrain, expected to churn out about 550 hp and 851 Nm, respectively.
