Hyundai Motor Group Leads 2025 IIHS Top Safety Award; Tucson, GV60, Telluride Lead Charge

Hyundai Motor Group has once demonstrated its focus on safety, earning a total of 21 Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ awards in the 2025 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety evaluations. This marks the second year in a row that the group has achieved the highest number of recognitions among automakers, reflecting its continued commitment to meeting rigorous industry standards and advancing vehicle safety technologies.

Of the 21 awarded models, 18 models achieved the highest 2025 TSP+ ratings, representing a significant increase from 12 TSP+ ratings in 2024 and underscoring the Group's ability to meet increasingly demanding safety requirements.

Among the 2025 Top Safety Pick+ recipients, Hyundai Motor Group's flagship electric SUVs - including the all-new 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 and 2025-26 Kia EV9 - delivered strong performance across all IIHS evaluation categories, earning the top 'good' ratings in every applicable crashworthiness and crash-avoidance test.

Hyundai Motor Company has emerged as the clear leader in automotive safety for 2025, securing eight Top Safety Pick+ and two Top Safety Pick ratings. Genesis followed closely with five TSP+ and one TSP recognition, while Kia earned five TSP+ ratings of its own. Together, these achievements underscore the Group's strong commitment to advancing safety technologies and consistently meeting the industry's toughest testing standards, reinforcing consumer confidence and highlighting the brands' dedication to protecting drivers and passengers alike.

• The 2026 Palisade midsize SUV and Santa Cruz received 2025 TSP awards.

Genesis earned 2025 TSP+ ratings for the:

• 2025 GV60
• 2025-26 GV70 (built after April 2024)
• 2025-26 Electrified GV70
• 2025-26 GV80
• 2026 G80 (built after June 2025)
• The 2025 G90 flagship sedan received a 2025 TSP rating.
