Thiruvananthapuram:
DGP Jacob Punnoose on Monday said that the Tamil Nadu DGP had promised to ensure the safety of Malayalees in Tamil Nadu.
Punnoose spoke to his Tamil Nadu counterpart over phone after Malayalees were attacked in Tamil Nadu over the Mullaperiyar issue. Stringent action was being taken to prevent more untoward incidents.
Tamil Nadu DGP K Ramanujam also urged Kerala to ensure the safety of Tamilians here. Both police forces will ensure smooth travel between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The safety of Sabarimala pilgrims will also be ensured.
