The Sonam Kapoor Effect? Rekha, 63, Stunned Us In Gold Pant-Style Saree

It's not without reason that people lovingly refer to Rekha as a timeless beauty. At 63, she looks as radiant as ever, making heads turn whenever she steps out. At the grand wedding reception of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, Rekha turned up looking like a goddess in a glistening gold and cream Kanjeevaram saree but added in a contemporary spin to it. Probably it was the Sonam Kapoor effect, who is known for her cutting edge sense of fashion and her habit of giving classic styles a contemporary twist. Though we weren't surprised with Rekha's choice of attire - of course we knew she would be rocking another one of her many exquisite sarees - it was the draping style that grabbed everyone's attention.

Rekha ditched the traditional saree look and instead wore a pant saree and teamed it with a full sleeved blouse. The saree had intricate self patterns across the body, and she accessorised it with gold and diamond studded jewellery (that included a statement necklace, maang tikka, jhumkas and bangles) and carried a gold embellished potli bag. Not one to shy away from bold lips, Rekha spotted her signature red lips while keeping rest of her makeup simple. We loved the one sided swept hair with loose curls that further enhanced her diva look.
