The celebrations for Sonam Kapoor's wedding has already begun, starting with what looked like a super fun, star-studded mehendi function with her friends and family. Social media has of course been buzzing with pictures of the pretty bride along with her better half, Anand Ahuja. The good looking couple were all smiles and looked adorable in matching outfits in hues of pastel pink and lilac that are of course perfect for a summer wedding.
Being the fashion icon that Sonam Kapoor is, for days there has been much speculation over which designer outfits she would be picking for her wedding festivities. Many names have been thrown up based on Sonam's earlier style statements. At least now we know one of the designers who she picked for her mehendi look.
The beautiful bride-to-be wore a pastel pink and lilac sharara suit designed by Anuradha Vakil. It had intricate embroidery detailing in gold thread and was heavily embellished with beads and zardosi stones. Sonam wore a matching dupatta with heavy brocade borders, looking like a stunning Punjabi bride. She kept rest of her look simple with minimal makeup and hairstyle, but sported a pair of statement earrings to further accentuate her look. And with that happy smile, she proved us all that happy brides are always the prettiest brides.
Her beau, Anand Ahuja, matched his outfit with Sonam's by picking a custom made bandhgala designed by none other than Raghavendra Rathore, who also happens to be a favourite of father-in-law Anil Kapoor. He wore a pink bandhgala with a lilac handkerchief tucked in his breast pocket, grey kurta and a pair of cream coloured trousers.
For her other outfits, it is being said that she will be picking fashioner designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and Anamika Khanna, as well as Ralph and Russo. We can't wait to find out if the guesses are right!
