When Sanjay Garg, the designer behind bringing us the raw beauty of Raw Mango sarees, started his brand 10 years ago, Indian handloom was being interpreted by far lesser designers. Today, a decade later, wearing Raw Mango is the style statement of style statements - not only are you a part of the handloom revolution that has gathered speed over the years, you are also showcasing what many call "hipster fashion". Raw Mango sarees are so subtly beautiful that every weave, work and stitch garners admiration. And the label's admirers are many.
Raw Mango is now a go-to label for celebrities such as Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and others. A-listers flock to Sanjay Garg's studio and the Raw Mango Instagram account is routinely filled up with pictures of famous folks draped in the beautiful sarees. March was especially crowded with stars.
