Cannes Film Festival 2022 has been an elaborate affair since day 1. The red carpet looks of all the celebrities have kept the fashion police on their tiptoes. Every look of those attending the gala event was striking and made a statement on its own. The Indian divas also showcased some swoon-worthy gowns. Choosing the ever-stylish and classic black, the Indian celebrities brought their A-game to the red carpet. From Masoom Minawala to Urvashi Rautela, here's how the beauties attended the red-carpet event in black.

Choosing the classic black colour for their statement gowns are Bollywood celebrities
Masoom Minawala opted for a floor-length gown in black from designer label Garimon Roferos Couture. The mermaid fit gown had a ruffled neckline, cutout details at the waist and the thigh and a dramatic trail to follow. Masoom looked exceptionally beautiful as she parted her hair sideways and opted for nude makeup with matte lip colour.
Urvashi Rautela took the black route too when she opted for a tube gown from Ali Younes couture. The tube gown had a short front and floor-sweeping long train at the back. It had a corset detailing at the bustline and ruffled pattern throughout. Tying her mane in a sleek bun, Urvashi opted for a heavy eye makeup, glossy pink lip tint and shimmering eyelids. For accessories the actor opted for a studded choker necklace and emerald laden earrings.

Tamannaah Bhatia made quite a statement in a scintillating black Yanina Couture number. The actor in her debut at Cannes Film Festival opted for a tube gown with a plunging neckline. She picked a strapless sequin gown paired with a long sheer black cape. Tamannaah opted for shimmering makeup, kohl-laden eyes, ample mascara and soft matte lip colour.
Deepika Padukone too made an appearance in a black statement gown and won many hearts. Deepika wore a strappy gown featuring a deep V-neckline with a small trail. The gown had featherlike detailing throughout. The actor wore black heels with the gown. Tying her hair in a messy bun, the actor opted for nude makeup with heavy eye makeup and a nude matte lip tint. The actor wore dangling earrings with the gown.
