Masaba Gupta’s Ethnic Summer Collection Is All About Colour Pop

Masaba Gupta is known for her quirky collections, where fusion designs often take centrestage. Her Summer 2018 collection is a riot of colours and includes sarees, anarkali suits, lehengas, kaftans and more in vibrant hues of pink, indigo, green, mustard yellow and gold.

She has extensively played around with chanderi in her collection. In this style, she gives crushed saree a gorgeous spin, with bright indigo as the base colour and tribal vase-shaped prints in gold to set it apart. The saree is teamed with a mango yellow blouse with the same print to give it more colour pop.

There's a breezy kaftan in the same fabric, which screams summer right away and gives a stylish edge to this relaxed wear, as well as a mango yellow saree in the same style.

Other saree styles from the collection includes these crushed chanderi sarees in pearl ivory and canary yellow with kalash prints in gold. These are teamed with peppy pink blouses and we love the pink sindoor sported by the models, a refreshing variation from the regular vermillion red.

The collection also includes stunning lehengas. This pink lehenga comes with tribal vase, leaf foil and kalash motifs in gold foil print and rich gold embroidered kallis. A light stone grey and gold printed dupatta completes the look.
