Even though many of us haven't lived life in the 80s, decades later, there's still so much to be celebrated about the era. Pumping beats by the likes of Prince and Madonna, cinematic wonders like E.T. and of course, the wild styles. 80s fashion was bold, unapologetic and could never be ignored. It was also replete with prints and gave us one of the greatest patterns of all times i.e. polka dots. Through the years, the chic pattern has been splashed across runways and hasn't faded from grace even a bit. At the latest round of Veere Di Wedding promotions, Kareena Kapoor took us on a trip to the flashy era with her polka dot pick.
For the day look, Kareena wore a black Michael Kors dress with white polka dots. The mid-length dress had a crossed halter neckline with pleats at the base. With it, Kareena wore a broad white belt which cinched the waist and pointed black pumps. Finishing off the look was an effortless updo hairstyle, diamond earrings, subtly defined eyes and rose toned makeup.
Even before Veere Di Wedding's release, the promotions have been a fashionista's dream which Kareena has aced extraordinarily. This time was no different. Even at the end of the cycle, the actress brought her A-game with this polka dot number. Especially after her midriff-flaunting suits and sheer pieces, the dress is a breath of fresh air. Granted, we have seen polka dots done twenty times over and it may not be novel but Kareena's look, with the messy updo, large belt and pointed pumps, is a retro throwback in the most effortlessly chic way possible.
