Millie Bobby Brown Is Normalising Acne And Posting Makeup-Free Pics Of It
Since Millie Bobby Brown burst into the global spotlight playing Eleven in Stranger Things while being 12-years-old herself, it's safe to say that she practically grew up as a childhood acting sensation and celebrity known across the world. While that definitely has its advantages, it's not without its downside. That would include baring her less-than-perfect side of teenage life to the world at large; which she is absolutely not worried about doing. In her latest photo on Instagram, the young Hollywood actress got real and showed an unfiltered side of herself to her followers.

Everyone who has passed through their teens knows well enough that pimples are practically a rite of passage. No matter how hard you've tried to avoid it, you're bound to come across a stubborn zit or two. Even Hollywood stars aren't safe from pimples, it seems. While most cover their acne with concealers and powders, Millie Bobby Brown did the opposite. In a set of Instagram pictures, Millie is first seen taking a dolled-up selfie featuring sparkling lids and nude lips. Her next picture is a closer look as Millie's bare face is seen on display.

While the angry red pimples and hints of rosacea are visible on her face, such skin problems are to be expected on the face of a teenage girl. What we didn't expect was Millie showing her acne to her millions of followers. Users celebrated the bold move and comments ranged from "thank you for normalizing breakouts" to "love how you show off your acne. it is normal and okay to get breakouts".
While posting a makeup-free selfie might not be that big of a deal to a celebrity, it's still a step in the right direction to normalize issues like acne and acknowledge the fact that everyone really go through it all.
