Neha Sharma has taken over Bollywood like a sartorial storm. As a fashionista with glam running through her very genes as well as a thorough background in acting and modelling, it's going to be exciting to witness Neha take a bold step in the fashion arena. NDTV Swirlster speaks to Neha Sharma about her fashion choices, celebrity icons and how to make it in the celebrity sphere.
NDTV Swirlster: What's your personal style like?
Neha Sharma: My personal style is minimalistic. Classic and comfortable that has an understated charm is always a win-win for me. I have always believed that you should wear the clothes and clothes shouldn't wear you. Having said that I am all in for drama if you can comfortably pull that off. In fact, as a jury member, I would like to use my passion for fashion and styling to encourage and nurture the new and upcoming talent through the Showcase.
NDTV Swirlster: What are 3 fashion essentials you cannot live without?
Neha Sharma: The little black dress, a nice pair of blue jeans and a white shirt.

NDTV Swirlster: Tell us about your association with Blenders Pride Fashion Tour The Showcase and how it's the perfect fit for you?
Neha Sharma: I am very excited to be one of the jury members of the platform, which aims to take a bold step in the fashion arena. The Showcase is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring talent, and I strongly encourage greater participation. I have a background in both acting and modelling and I understand how hard it can be to find your identity in such a cluttered space. Blenders Pride Fashion Tour The Showcase will catapult the journey of the aspirants, giving them a platform to exhibit their creative expression with Pride and curate a platform that will nurture talent across diverse creative fields.
NDTV Swirlster: Who is your favorite celebrity fashion icon?
Neha Sharma: I love the sense of style Zendaya has and Kate moss is my forever style icon; she's the queen of effortless sexy style.
NDTV Swirlster: What tips would you give to applicants of this year's Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 'The Showcase'?
Neha Sharma: Well, I am looking for attitude and confidence, that's the most important thing when you need to seize the stage.
NDTV Swirlster: What's a style trend you would never wear?
Neha Sharma: It's strange and uncomfortable heels. For me, walking is joy so the shoes play an important part.
NDTV Swirlster: What are your thoughts on fashion and Bollywood working hand-in-hand?
Neha Sharma: From time immemorial one remembers the iconic films for the great stories, performances and the world it takes you to. The world comprises of the various locations where it's shot and how each character looks; there comes the hair, makeup and costumes. Cinema would be incomplete without that. Costumes play a very important part in the whole make-believe magic of cinema. Hence fashion is an integral part of films. How can one ignore the outfits of Madhubala in Mughal-e-Azam, the winged liner and iconic fringe of Sadhana and the super cute clothes of Urmila in Rangeela and there are so many such other movies which have this iconic looks.

Neha Sharma: Confidence is the biggest most important accessory one can wear so it's very important that you feel like a million bucks in what you are wearing. If you feel great in what you wear, the world will also find it fabulous. So if I had to give one fashion tip to readers it would be confidence.
