Prevent Your Skin From These Summer Skin Problems For A Glowing Skin

1. Breakouts

During summer, your body perspires more to keep your body temperature lower. This in turn triggers the sebaceous glands to produce more oil(sebum) to keep your skin moisturized. When sweat mixes with the bacteria and oils on your skin, your pores can become clogged. Depending on your skin type, you may experience an increase in acne breakouts this summer. Mix about 2 teaspoons of fresh tomato juice with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply this to your face at least once a day. Use non-comedogenic products on your face, neck, back, and chest.

2. Sun Burn

Getting a sunburn can put a damper on your summer plans. Sunburning in severe forms can be quite uncomfortable. It results in redness of the skin, skin peeling and sometimes itching. A sunscreen when applied, no matter how high the SPF is, will protect the skin from the detrimental effects of the UV rays. Cucumber soothes the skin, so can be applied to skin that is tanned and also on the rashes to bring relief from itching. Take 3 peeled cucumbers, grate them and put it in the blender to make a paste. Refrigerate it and apply the cool mask on tanned or sun burned skin to help soothe the skin as well as lift off the tan.

3. Dry, Irritated Skin

Despite the summer heat and humidity, you may find your skin still feeling dry and irritated. Your skin becomes dry when it loses too much oil or water, both of which can be caused by a combination of humid air, hot days in the sun, air-conditioners. Those with parched skin can finally get the moisturisation and glow with honey which is a natural humectant and deeply moisturises skin. Apply directly on affected areas and wash off after 15 minutes. Carry a moisturizer with you so you can apply it after washing your hands or when your skin begins to feel dry.

4. Dark Spots

If you're struggling with dark spots, you should know that one of the main causes of this problem is sun exposure. This problem can take a turn for the worse during the summers when the UV rays are twice as harsh. Aloe Vera Gel is known for its soothing and cool properties. You can directly apply the pulp of aloe vera as well to the affected areas of your face or else you can mix it with coconut oil also. When you have skin with dark spots, you need a skin care product targeted towards the problem specifically.

5. Skin Pigmentation

Many skin concerns or problems that are related to skin pigmentation are caused by sun damage, pollution. You can add buttermilk instead of water in your face mask and gently rub the curd in circular motions on discoloured patches twice a day. The lactic acid found in milk products helps lighten skin pigmentation.
