Cold Waves Persist With Thick Fog in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh: Cold wave conditions today persisted in Punjab and Haryana along with thick fog in parts of the two states as Ludhiana recorded a minimum temperature of 4.8 degrees Celsius.

Ludhiana's minimum temperature settled a notch below normal, the Meteorological department officials said.

Amritsar's low settled at 5.6 degrees Celsius while Patiala recorded a minimum temperature at 6.3 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Chandigarh was recorded at 5.8 degrees Celsius while Ambala's low settled at 6.3 degrees Celsius.

Cold conditions persisted in Hisar, where the night temperature was recorded at 5.3 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperatures at Karnal and Narnaul were recorded at 4.8 and 6.3 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, thick fog reduced visibility at many places in the two states this morning affecting normal life.
