Bandh in Kupwara over govt jobs

Kupwara: Civilians and political parties at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir have called for a bandh on Monday, protesting discrimination in government jobs.

A curfew may be imposed in Kupwara to avoid any untoward incident.

Several legislators from the district are also joining protests demanding due share in government jobs for unemployed youth of the frontier district.

There have been more than 1800 days of strike sponsored by separatist during last 20 years of militancy in Kashmir. It is for the first time in about two decades, that a bandh call has nothing to do with the separatist movement.
