Andhra Congress MLAs to elect Rosaiah today

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has been summoned to meet on Friday to elect Chief Minister K Rosaiah as its new leader, clearing the cloud of uncertainty in the wake of the death of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily will be the observers at the meeting, which is formally expected to install Mr Rosaiah as the CLP leader in Andhra Pradesh.
