The Traitors Season 2 has found itself at the centre of a fresh controversy after Shahneel Gill, the sister of cricketer Shubman Gill, shared a video making serious claims against Parul Gulati.
Shahneel alleged that Parul paid a member of the show to get important information about the identities of the Traitors. This information helped Parul make moves against Harman Singha and later Krystle D'Souza, she alleged.
Krystle later shared a video in support of Shahneel's claims. Interestingly, Parul has also responded to the accusations.
On Instagram, Shahneel Gill said, “Apparently, there has been match fixing on The Traitors. Every contestant is assigned a shadow by the production. A person who takes care of everything for you. One innocent's shadow was being paid to leak information from inside the game to that particular innocent, which explains a lot.”
“Every morning, 'I had a gut feeling that someone was a traitor.' Where did this gut feeling come from? Every time it was correct. We genuinely thought that we were witnessing some crazy sixth sense intuition, turns out the gut had a source. Imagine, the traitors are the only ones playing a fair game. It's unfair for other innocents who honestly played the game and were trying to unmask the traitors, so sad."
Krystle D'Souza also spoke against Parul Gulati and said she was extremely angry after hearing the allegations. She questioned how someone can make an important decision based only on a feeling without having a clear reason. According to Krystle, this was unfair to the other 20 contestants who played the game honestly and used their own thinking to make decisions.
She recalled that Parul had already called her a traitor before Krystle had even reached the breakfast table. When Krystle asked why Parul suspected her, she felt that Parul was not able to give a clear reason. Even during the discussion at the Circle of Shaq, Krystle felt that the explanation did not make sense.
The actor also said that the makers of The Traitors may have been disappointed because they worked hard to keep the identities of the traitors hidden.
Soon after Krystle Dsouza and Shahneel Gill's video went viral, Parul Gulati replied, “This is a circle of shaq all over and guess what, I am INNOCENT, AGAIN.” In the caption, she called it a “digital witch hunt.”
