The fifth season of
Koffee With Karan, filmmaker Karan Johar's talk show reputed for witnessing many a stunning revelation and bringing out the unexplored side of Bollywood celebrities, went on floors end of September. It is only some 20 odd days later that we
get another update and oh, how we love it.
Shah Rukh and Alia Bhatt enjoyed a cuppa with show host Karan and we can't wait to get our hands on every bit of that incessant laughter and non-stop banter between the trio that must have followed. After all, a lot can happen over coffee!

Dear Zindagi co-stars Shah Rukh and Alia to be the first guests to kick start
Koffee With Karan 5.0 could be true because this is the first time a picture from the sets have been shared on social media, since this happened:
Shah Rukh and close friend and frequent co-star Kajol inaugurated the show with its maiden episode on November 19, 2004. Since then, Shah Rukh has appeared in all seasons barring 2013's season 4. The talk show, which has often been the subject of headlines for its controversial nature, has featured Bollywood big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Alia, who was directed by Karan in her debut
Student Of The Year, appeared in two episodes from last season.

There is also The Koffee Rap, which includes snippets of interviews with Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and other celebrities. It is hilarious:
Earlier this month, Karan
dismissed reports which stated that actor Fawad Khan will kick start the show. In an interview with news agency IANS, he said: "No. I haven't yet reached the combination. There has been a lot of conjecture about that. We are zeroing on episode one and will answer soon."
Author Twinkle Khanna
is also expected to share the couch with her husband, actor Akshay Kumar in one of the episodes of the new season.
DNA quoted a source as saying: "It's nothing short of a coup for Karan. Despite several offers and requests, Twinkle has steadfastly stayed away from making any appearance on TV. This will be the first time the actress-turned-author will make an exception."
Guests were last seen sipping coffee on the show with a Parineeti Chopra-Alia episode on April 6, 2014 with
Best of Koffee With Karan Season 4 airing later that month.
Director Gauri Shinde brings Shah Rukh Khan, 50, and Alia Bhatt, 23, together on screen for the first time in
Dear Zindagi. SRK is currently shooting Imtiaz Ali's film after which he will begin work on Aanand L Rai's next. He also has Rahul Dholakia's
Raees set for release in January. Last seen in
Udta Punjab, Alia is busy with
Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, co-starring Varun Dhawan.
