Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda have been setting friendship goals for quite some time now. The actors, who will be reuniting on the silver screen in Kushi, do not shy away from complimenting each other on social media. A case in point is Samantha's latest post. In it, she and Vijay are seen seated in front of a table filled with a variety of food. While the image clicked by Kushi director Shiva Nirvana is extremely cute, it is the caption by Samantha that has our heart. In the caption, she wrote, “Sees you at your best, sees you at your worst. Sees you come last, sees you come first. Sees your lows, sees your highs. Some friends gently standby [white heart]. What a year it has been!” and tagged Vijay Deverakonda. In response, Hesham Abdul Wahab – Kushi's music director – dropped three heart emojis.
Vijay Deverakonda then upped the ante by re-sharing the post on his Instagram Stories with the note, “Favourite girl [heart, smiley face].”

In April this year, Vijay Deverakonda won hearts on the internet when he shared a good luck note for Samantha ahead of her film Shaakuntalam's release. In his note, the actor said: “Sammy, You are so full of love, always wanting to do right, spread cheer, still your everything for each shot in a film as if your entire career depends on it. The world might never know what a fighter you have been the past one year, always trying to put a smile and your best foot forward for your teams, films, and fans even though your body needs a break, needs rest. I wish you all luck for Shaakuntalam tomorrow. Your will and the love of millions will always keep you safe. It will all be well. Love always Vijay."
To this, Samantha replied, “At a loss for words... Really needed this. Thank you, my hero!” For context, Samantha was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis last year.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda have earlier starred in the hit film Mahanati, headlined by Keerthy Suresh. Kushi will release in theatres on September 1.
