Rakul Preet Singh is mourning the loss of her pet dog Blossom. The actress shared the sad news on social media along with several pictures of herself with the adorable furball. The images – taken over a span of 16 years – feature Rakul and Blossom enveloped in warm cuddles. On a side note, Rakul said, “Blossom, you came into our lives 16 years back and blossomed us with so much love and joy. I have grown up with you. We will miss you a lot. You lived a good life and I am glad you didn't suffer pain. Rest In Peace, Boshiii.. stay blessed wherever you are.” She also added some broken heart emojis.

Rakul Preet Singh also shared another image of Blossom and her on Instagram Stories and said: “12 APRIL 2007 - 27 DEC 2022. Blossom.”


The sad news comes just days after Rakul Preet Singh shared a post wishing her boyfriend, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani on his birthday. In the caption, she said, “Santa gave me the best gift for life and that's you.. happy bdayyyy, my love. Thank you for being who you are and filling my life with soooo much joy and peace. Thank you for being my calming factor. I know how driven you are and I wish you to conquer all that you desire .. keep cheekily smiling always.” Jackky Bhagnani replied to the post saying: “Thank you so much my (heart emoji). You make me the happiest in this whole world.”

On the work front, Rakul Preet Singh will next be seen in an untitled film with Bhumi Pednekar and Arjun Kapoor as well as Chhatriwali. Sharing the first look of the film a while ago, the actress wrote, “Bin mausam barsaat kabhi bhi ho sakti hai… Apni chhatri taiyaar rakhiye! [It can rain at any time…Keep your umbrella ready]. Presenting the first look of Chhatriwali.”

Rakul Preet Singh was last seen in Ayushmann Khurrana's Doctor G. She was also a part of the comedy film Thank God alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn. She played the role of a police officer in the film.
