Veteran actor Mammootty has shared a set of happy photos to wish his online family on the auspicious occasion of Onam. The harvest festival is celebrated by Malayalis across the world. In the pictures, shared on Instagram, Mammootty is wearing a white shirt and traditional kasavu mundu (dhoti). The actor is sitting on a couch as he poses for the camera. Mammootty's bearded look added an extra edge to the frame. For the side note, the 71-year-old wrote, “Happy Onam.” Actor-turned-filmmaker Ramesh Pisharody left a heart-eye emoji in the comments. Former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant Shiyas Kareem said, “Happy Onam.” Mammootty's fans have also dropped fire and red heart emojis under the post.
A video of Mammootty celebrating Onam on the sets of the Malayalam film Bramayugam has also cropped up on the Internet. The clip, shared by industry tracker Friday Matinee on X (formerly known as Twitter), shows the actor serving food to the crew. “Onam celebration on the sets of Bramayugam,” read the text. The film is directed by Rahul Sadasivan. Night Shift Studios and YNot Studios have jointly bankrolled the project.
Mohanlal has also shared a video to wish his fans and followers on the special day. The clip opens to the legendary actor gearing up for the Onam celebrations. The actor, dressed in a kurta and traditional kasavu mundu (dhoti) is seen walking towards the courtyard. A few seconds later, Mohanlal is seen working on pookalam (floral rangoli). The video ends with the actor wishing everyone a happy Onam. “Happy Onam to all,” he can be heard saying. Sharing the video, Mohanlal wrote, “My heartfelt Thiruvonam wishes to all Malayalis.” Thiruvonam is the most important day of the 10-day Onam festivities.
Mohanlal has also dropped a photograph on Instagram. In the pic, he is seen sitting on the floor. We can also spot the floral rangoli. Along with the picture, he wrote, “Happy Onam”.
