Vijay Makkal Iyakkam supported the Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK in the April 13 assembly elections.
Vijay's movie
Velayutham would be released on September 15 or during Diwali festival, Chandrasekhar said.
Chandrasekhar claimed the film industry got "total freedom" after the change of Government in Tamil Nadu.
He said it was not as if only some actors faced problems during the previous regime. The entire film industry was forced to be subservient, he alleged.
