New Delhi: Vivek Oberoi will be a marriedman in a week but the actor, who is currently busy touringdifferent cities to promote Rakta Charitra, says he is yetto get into the marriage mode.

The Bollywood star is all set to marry Priyanka Alva in aprivate ceremony in Bangalore on October 29, just a week afterthe film hits theatres. Vivek says he is keeping his fingerscrossed for both.

"I am so preoccupied with Rakta Charitra that I did notdo any shopping for my marriage. Now my family is taking careof that. I will soon be a married man but the feeling is yetto sink in. I will get in that mode once the film releases,"the actor told PTI in an interview.

Vivek says his fiancee, a business management graduatefrom London, has been very understanding about hispreoccupation with the movie promotion which is taking up mostof his time.

"Priyanka has been very understanding and supportive. Itis very unusual for a bride to be this practical andunderstanding about my career. She is really a lovely girl andmeans a lot to me. I thank Karnataka for giving me their mostbeautiful daughter," Vivek said.

When probed further about his impending nuptials, theactor said, "The wedding will be grand but a very privateaffair followed by a reception in Mumbai with family andfriends attending," he added.

Right now, Vivek is all geared up for the release ofRakta Charitra. Based on real-life incidents, the Ram GopalVarma directed film will see the actor playing slain Andhrapolitician Paritala Ravi.

The 34-year-old star has teamed up with RGV after a longtime for the multi-lingual, two-part film, which depicts therise and fall of Ravi. The duo fell out after working togetherin Company and Road.

"It is the most powerful film I have ever done. It is avery relevant story and something that is happening in Indianheartland. For me it was a challenge to understand Ravi'sdegree of pain, which forced him to turn into a rebel," Viveksaid.

The actor rose to fame with Company and went on to starin hits like Saathiya, Masti, Yuva and Shootout AtLokhandwala only to see a decline in his career, which alsosuffered due to controversies in his life - be it hisrelationship with Aishwarya Rai or his fight with Salman Khanthrough the media.

However, Vivek is confident that his role in RaktaCharitra will be liked by the audience.

"With my performance in this film, I hope to take myacting career a few notches higher from my Company days. After all it is the toughest role of my life and also marks mydebut in Tamil and Telugu," he said.

After his marriage, Vivek is planning a short breakbefore returning to work again.

"I am going to run away with my newly married wife forour honeymoon. I will enjoy the beginning of my new life andpamper my wife a lot to make up for my absence before ourmarriage," he said.
