On the paid preview day on March 18, amid confusion over show cancellations and delays, filmmaker Aditya Dhar addressed audiences with an official statement regarding the release of Dhurandhar 2.

Vivek Sinha, who played Zahoor Mistry in Dhurandhar, was so compelling as the infamous terrorist that many started targeting the actor online. R Madhavan expressed heartfelt gratitude for Allu Arjun’s praise of Dhurandhar 2, saying he was deeply touched and motivated by the words. Calling the appreciation extra special as it marked the film’s first online review, Madhavan said it came at a pivotal moment in his personal and professional life.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar showered praise on Dhurandhar 2, calling it a monumental masterpiece and a benchmark for high‑stakes sequels in Indian cinema. He especially lauded director Aditya Dhar’s vision and Ranveer Singh’s transformative performance, even saying the actor deserves a National Award. 

Casting director Mukesh Chhabra praised director Aditya Dhar’s dedication, revealing that he was still working on Dhurandhar 2 as late as 2:30 a.m. ahead of the film’s release. Calling Dhar a genius, Chhabra said he is proud of him and believes the film will exceed expectations and break records.

Ahead of the release, Vijay Deverakonda took to X on March 18 to express his enthusiasm for Dhurandhar 2. A part of his post read, “From tomorrow onwards, something big is going to happen in Indian cinema and culture.”

After reviewing Dhurandhar 2 and declaring that it “will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far, starting from Mughal‑e‑Azam onwards, look like TV serials,” Ram Gopal Varma wrote another note praising the film. Take a look:
