In 2009 general elections, Ashok Kumar Rawat from Bahujan Samaj Party or BSP had won the Misrikh Lok Sabha constituency. He received 207627 votes. His opponent was Shyam Prakash from Samajwadi Party. He received 184335 votes.
In 1971 general elections, Sankta Prasad from Indian National Congress or INC had won the seat. In 1977 and 1980 general elections, Ram Lal Rahi from INC had won the Misrikh seat.
