In the 2014 General Election, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel from BJP was elected form the Hamirpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. He received 4,53,884 votes. His closest opponent was Bishambar Prasad Nishad from Samajwadi Party who received 1,87,096 votes.
In the 2009 General Election, Vijay Bahadur Singh from BSP was elected from Hamirpur. He received 1,99,143 votes. His closest opponent was Siddha Gopal Sahu from INC who received 1,73,641 votes.
