Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is seeking a second straight term in office from the Patan assembly seat, which he has won five times since 1993. The BJP fielded his distant nephew Vijay Baghel against him. Vijay Baghel is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Durg.Among the other prominent faces that contested the polls are TS Singh Deo, Charandas Mahant, and Raman Singh.
