New Delhi:
A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by three minors in Southeast Delhi's Govindpuri area in the wee hours today.
Police said that the three accused had taken the deceased to a secluded spot on the pretext of solving an ongoing dispute between them and killed him.
"The accused went to the deceased's house on scooter and asked him to follow them. The deceased along with one of his friend followed the three boys. They took him to a secluded spot and stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen."
"While the 17-year-old collapsed on the spot, his friend managed to escape. He then informed his family members and locals of the area who rushed to the spot and took the boy to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival," said a senior police officer.
The boy had sustained deep wounds and died of blood loss. His body has been sent for a postmortem examination, the official said.
Two of the accused have been arrested while the other one is still absconding, police said.
"During questioning two boys have confessed to have committed the murder. They said that they had a fight with the deceased a few months back when he had insulted them."
"Following this they made a plan to take revenge and called him out to settle the matter," the officer said.
Further probe is on, the officer added.
