Rourkela:
A man allegedly hacked his wife to death and injured himself in an apparent suicide bid at Beldih village under Bonai police station, about 80 km from here, police said today.
The man, Dinu Kishan (35) in a fit of rage attacked his wife, Laxmi, with an axe yesterday and killed her on the spot, they said.
After the killing, Dinu hit himself by the axe and got injured. He was taken to Bonai hospital and subsequently shifted to Rourkela Government Hospital here.
Police seized the body and the axe used in the crime from the spot.
