India's electric vehicle (EV) market is growing quickly, offering a range of options that are affordable, high-performing, and eco-friendly. If you're looking for electric SUVs under Rs 30 Lakh, 2025 will bring several models that maintain great features and good range. Here's a list of the top five electric SUVs in this price range, focusing on their powertrains and costs.

Tata Harrier.ev:

Built on Tata's Gen 2 EV platform, the Harrier.ev features a sealed grille, new bumpers, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. The SUV is equipped with high-capacity battery packs of 65 kWh and 75 kWh. It features a front motor with a power output of 155.8 hp and a rear motor with 234.7 hp, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. With fast charging capabilities of 1.5 C, it can achieve a range of 250 km in only 15 minutes. Tata Harrier. ev has now been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 21.49 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra BE 6:

The Mahindra BE6 is a coupe SUV with a sporty sloping roofline. It uses the INGLO platform and offers a 59 kWh battery (167.6 hp) and a 79 kWh battery (207.12 hp), both providing 380 Nm of torque. The BE6 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with ranges of up to 557 km and 638 km for the respective batteries. Its price ranges from Rs 19.40 Lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 27.40 Lakh(ex-showroom).

BYD Atto 3:

The BYD Atto 3 is a feature-rich electric SUV, built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0. The BYD Atto 3 is available with two battery pack options: 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh, offering a range of 468 km and 521 km respectively. The BYD Atto 3 is available at a starting price of Rs 24.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). 

Mahindra XEV 9e:

The Mahindra XEV 9e is an all-electric SUV built on the INGLO platform. It offers two battery options: a 59 kWh battery with a range of 542 km and a 79 kWh battery with a range of 656 km. Charging options include AC chargers (7.2 kW and 11.2 kW) and DC fast charging (175 kW) that charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in 20 minutes. The starting price is Rs 22.64 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Creta Electric:

The Hyundai Creta Electric closely resembles its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. This electric vehicle offers two battery pack options, a 42 kWh battery, which provides a driving range of 390 km, and a larger 51.4 kWh battery, which delivers a range of 473 km on a single charge. Both battery options can be recharged using a DC charger, allowing them to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 58 minutes. The price of the Creta Electric ranges from Rs 17.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 24.37 Lakh (ex-showroom).
