Global luxury mobility brand Brabus has revealed the 800 Cabrio and 800 XL Cabrio. The duo is based on the V8-powered Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 and the brand calls them 'freedom to explore without restraint'. While the iconic G-Class silhouette remains intact, Brabus claims to have developed a highly complex soft-top system consisting of over 500 custom-made components, developed and tested in full OEM quality.
Brabus Drops The Top:
The two-piece soft top opens or closes at the push of a button in 20 seconds and features a heated safety-glass rear window. The integrated carbon-fibre surface bow in the front roof segment is a first-of-its-kind feature, ensuring a stable roof contour and reduced wind noise even at high speeds. At the rear, the soft top transitions into the body-integrated "C-Bow" steel roll bar, finished with exposed-carbon elements. The rear roof section folds automatically behind the rear seats.

V8 For Fun:
Brabus 800 Cabrio features a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, engineered to a peak output of 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, and two specially developed Brabus turbochargers. The power delivery is channelled to all four wheels through a Speedshift TCT nine-speed automatic transmission that can also be operated manually via the Brabus carbon shift paddles. The convertible accelerates from a standstill to 100 kmph in 4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 240 kmph.
