Audi India has announced a price hike of 2 per cent for its entire model range sold in the Indian market. Effective April 1, 2026, the German luxury car maker is citing rising input costs and currency fluctuations as the prime reason for the upward revisions in the car prices. Once implemented, the adjustment will show an effect on the ex-showroom prices of all cars available in the country.

Addressing the update, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, said, "Due to recent rising input costs and currency fluctuations, we are implementing a price adjustment of up to 2% effective from April 01, 2026. We remain committed to minimising the impact of the price hike on our customers."

As mentioned earlier, the rise in prices will affect Audi's complete lineup in India, which includes models like the Audi A4, A5, A6, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, and RSQ8 Performance.

This is the first price hike by the automaker in India in 2026. It follows a broader trend where manufacturers increase the prices of their vehicles to cope with the input costs and other external factors affecting the cost of cars. Other manufacturers, including BMW and Mercedes-Benz, had announced a price hike in January 2026.

The announcement comes while the automaker is planning the launch of the Audi SQ8 in the Indian market. Scheduled to make its India debut on March 17, the SQ8 will fill the gap with the Q8 and the range-topping RS Q8 in the Indian market. Before the launch, the brand had already begun taking bookings for the performance SUV for a token amount of Rs 5 lakh.

The most significant upgrade that the SQ8 has compared to the standard Q8 is its engine. The SQ8's V8 engine generates 507 hp and 770 Nm of torque, and it is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. When compared to the regular Q8, the SQ8 delivers an extra 167 hp and 270 Nm.
