2026 Kia Seltos Unveiled In India; Here's What Tata Sierra Rival Offers

Kia India has unveiled the second generation of the Seltos for the Indian market. While the prices will be announced on January 2, the brand has revealed all the details of the vehicle, with bookings beginning on December 11 for Rs 25,000. Introduced with tons of changes, the SUV represents the brand in a highly competitive segment against rivals like Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and others. Here's what it gets to help it hold its ground against competition.

2026 Kia Seltos: Design

The latest version of the Kia Seltos has been revealed with a new face. Adopting the design style of the brand's global models, the SUV features a tiger nose grille, enhanced by vertical lighting elements and a rather upright stance. Additionally, the SUV gets new 18-inch alloy wheels along with an updated tailgate design, which includes new connected tail lights. Both the front and rear also get new bumpers as part of the changes, with gunmetal finish skid plates.

The manufacturer is including relatively smooth body panels and door handles that sit flush with the body. Additionally, it gets a flatter roofline, a panoramic sunroof, an integrated rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna on the SUV. The vehicle's shoulder line is also slightly different to showcase a different look with updated window lines. All of this is complemented by 10 body paint options with two new colours called the Morning Haze and Magma Red.

2026 Kia Seltos: Dimensions

Based on the K3 platform of the brand, the new generation Seltos has received changes in its dimensions, making it longer. It is claimed to be the longest in segment with a length of 4,460 mm, an increased width of 1,830 mm, and a height of 1635 mm. Meanwhile, the wheelbase has also increased by 80 mm and now stands at 2690 mm.

2026 Kia Seltos: Interior

The second-generation Kia Seltos features an updated cabin design. It brings a revamped dashboard layout with new dual-tone elements and leatherette upholstery, all contributing to its fresh appeal. To complement this, the SUV gets a flat-bottom steering wheel featuring an offset brand logo. Furthermore, a new 30-inch integrated dual-screen setup with a single curved display is available. The manufacturer is also providing a set of physical controls for various functions, along with rotary controls for specific features.

The Seltos in this avatar will come loaded with features. It comes with a dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, heads-up display (HUD), powered driver seats, memory function ORVM, eight-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting, rear reclining seats, smart proximity key unlock, and more.

For safety, the car also gets features like six airbags, ESP, hill-start assist, disc brakes for all wheels, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, remote control with OTA updates, Level 2 ADAS features, like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, navigation-based smart cruise control, and more. It also has various traction control modes: Snow, Mud, and Sand.

2026 Kia Seltos: Powertrain

The new Kia Seltos comes with the options of two petrol engines and a diesel engine. It carries forward the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine producing 115 hp and 144 Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 hp and 253 Nm, along with 1.5-litre Diesel engine putting out 116 hp and 250 Nm torque. The transmission options include MT, iVT, DCT, and AT.
