Hyundai remains one of India's most popular carmakers, offering a wide range of models across diverse segments. Among its successful sedans is the Verna, a nameplate that has built a strong following over the years. The current-generation Verna, launched a few years ago, has proven to be one of the most polarising designs in the model's history, drawing both praise and criticism. Now, with time since its debut, Hyundai appears to be preparing an updated version of the Verna for the market.

Spy shots of the Verna facelift have been shared online by Autospy.net. In the latest update, the camouflaged sedan is seen undergoing road tests. Spotted outside India, the car appears to be receiving front and rear design revisions as part of the facelift.

Fresh spy shots of the upcoming Hyundai Verna facelift, taken in South Korea, reveal a heavily camouflaged front end, suggesting notable styling changes. While the signature full-width LED light bar is expected to remain, the headlamp units beneath appear larger than before and may now incorporate the indicators, pointing to a sharper, more modern design update.

The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift's front bumper appears to feature bold diagonal elements near the headlights, reminiscent of the current Sonata. As suggested by the central air dam adopts a more squared-off design compared to the outgoing Verna, while a satin chrome lip beneath adds a touch of sophistication to the refreshed styling.

On the sides, the facelifted Verna test mule reveals a fresh set of 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which could be finished in black for the 1.5 Turbo variants, similar to the current model. At the rear, heavy camouflage conceals most details, though subtle updates are expected,  likely revised LED signatures for the light bar and a redesigned bumper to complement the refreshed look.

Hyundai is expected to equip the Verna facelift with its signature curvilinear display setup, similar to the one introduced on the new Venue, and possibly with a larger screen size. While the cabin remains hidden in these spy shots, subtle updates are anticipated, including fresh trim elements and a new colour scheme. The sedan is also likely to inherit the Venue's dual 12.3-inch screens along with the compact SUV's redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, enhancing both technology and overall cabin appeal.

In terms of powertrain, the Verna facelift is expected to remain largely unchanged. It will continue with two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated MPi unit delivering 115 PS and 143 Nm, offered with both manual and IVT gearboxes; and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor producing 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, available with manual and DCT transmission choices.
