Kia India has unveiled the second-generation Seltos SUV in the Indian market, with a promise of a price announcement on January 2. While bookings will begin on December 11, deliveries of the SUV are expected to start later in the first month of 2026. With the generational change, the SUV has received multiple revisions to refresh its appeal to consumers. Here we take a look at these changes, categorising them into major sections.
Updated Design and Styling
The 2026 Seltos adopts Kia's latest global design language. It features a redesigned front end with a larger tiger-nose grille, vertical LED daytime running lights, and revised bumpers finished with gunmetal skid plates. The rear gets a new connected tail-lamp setup, reprofiled tailgate, and updated alloy wheel designs. Kia has also added two new colour options: Morning Haze and Magma Red, taking the total to ten exterior shades.

New Platform
The brand has replaced the K2 platform used on the SUV with the new K3 platform. This resulted in a change in dimensions and improved the overall safety of the vehicle. Furthermore, it aims to improve the stability of the vehicle. The K2 platform still underpins models like the Creta and the Carens Clavis.
Larger Dimensions
The new-generation Kia Seltos has grown in size compared to its predecessor. It now measures 4,460 mm in length, which is 95 mm longer than before, and 1,830 mm in width, up by 30 mm. The height has slightly reduced by 10 mm, now standing at 1,635 mm, while the wheelbase has increased by 80 mm to 2,690 mm, promising improved cabin space and stability on the road.

Reworked Interior and Technology
Inside, the Seltos gets a new dashboard layout with dual-tone leatherette upholstery and a flat-bottom steering wheel featuring an offset Kia logo. A 30-inch integrated curved display houses the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Despite the high-tech setup, Kia has retained physical controls and rotary switches for key functions.
