Ratnadip Choudhury
Ratnadip Choudhury has been working with NDTV Network since 2016, he is an award winning journalist. He is presently posted at Bureau Chief of Northeast India Bureau at Guwahati. He has been reporting out of Northeast India for over 18 years. In 2022, Ratnadip had ENBA 40 UNDER 40 AWARD for television news. Ratnadip can also received the JAFA Achievers Award for Excellence in Journalism , a coveted regional News journalism award instituted by the Journalist Association for Assam (JAFA). Ratnadip is the recipient of Mumbai Press Club's prestigious Red Ink excellence in Journalism Award 2013 presented by Press Club of Mumbai, for best Crime investigation. In 2021, Ratnadip was the runner up. He is also the winner of the First Northeast India Green Journo Award 2013, instituted to honour in depth reportage on Green issues in the Northeast India region. Ratnadip has also won the prestigious LAADLI Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2013. Ratnadip was also selected among ten young Indian scholars by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to work on trans boundary water issues of Eastern Himalayas in 2013. He has been an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) fellow to U.S in 2015. This is the oldest fellowship of Department of State, United States. He has travelled and interacted extensively across US as a part of the fellowship particular with officials of federal departments, professors, journalist, practitioners , experts and activists on reporting on disasters. In 2017, he has been in the select group of journalist from southeast Asia undergoing working in Bangkok, Thailand on transboundary rivers. In 2018, we was among 30 journalist across Asia to have been selected for the ASIA18 FELLOWSHIP for the Asian Investigative Journalism Conference, organized by Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) at Seoul, South Korea. He specializes in conflict reporting and has a keen interest in India's eastern neighbours.
