We often hear calming background music when using public transportation. Recently, IndiGo's official boarding anthem, 'All I Want Is Touchdown', has been looping during boarding. This upbeat yet soothing track has been part of IndiGo's boarding music rotation for a few months. But do you know the voice behind this calming tune?
Srishti BhitriKothiy created the in-flight track - accompanied by talented composer Sageesh Bhandari and producer Dpon Dash - with the intent to help relieve passengers' pre-flight anxiety.
'All I Want Is Touchdown' is used as IndiGo's in-flight boarding music. Before takeoff, it plays on a calming loop, helping passengers relax as the cabin fills, luggage is stowed, and seatbelts are fastened. Srishti recently posted a video of herself on a flight, silently capturing the moment as her voice played in the background.
The passengers were unaware that the soothing voice they were hearing belonged to someone seated among them. Most were occupied with boarding and settling into their seats.
"Nobody on this flight knows that the voice they hear in the aircraft is mine," read the text attached to the clip.
The video, shared on Instagram, surprised and impressed many users who had no idea that Srishti BhitriKothiy was the voice behind IndiGo's signature in-flight music.
One user commented, "Wait, no way omg, I love this song way too much ma'am, omg. It is my alarm, my phone ringtone omg."
"So you're the reason why I can't get it off my head after landing," read a second comment.
"I kinda like your voice though! Indigo's voice is pleasant," said another.
So, the next time you're on an IndiGo flight and this tune plays, know that it's the work of some very talented artists.
