Anand Mahindra Explains How Old Udaipur Rivals Medieval European Towns, Shares Pictures

Industrialist Anand Mahindra has once again highlighted the beauty of India. In a recent post on X, the 71-year-old drew a comparison between the old streets of Udaipur and the medieval towns of Europe. Sharing a glimpse of the city's historic lanes, Mahindra noted that Udaipur, founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, is home to narrow streets that are clean, quaint and full of character. Praising their charm, he wrote, "There is no reason this should draw fewer visitors than the medieval towns of Europe. None at all."

He went on to reflect on the joy of travel, saying that while people often journey far and wide in search of new experiences, sometimes the greatest discoveries are much closer to home. Mahindra also shared photos of Udaipur's old streets to support his point.
