TTV Dhinakaran, sidelined by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam or AIADMK, announced the name of his party. He has named it after former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Mr Dinakaran made the announcements at an event in Melur town.

Tamil actor Vishal, who was in news recently when his nomination for the bypoll to RK Nagar Assembly constituency was rejected, said "the situation" made him decide on entering politics.
