Jagan Mohan Reddy appears before CBI court in disproportionate assets case
Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before a special CBI court in connection with an disproportionate assets case today.

The court had on September 28 had taken cognisance of the charge sheet filed against Raghuram (Bharathi) Cements by the CBI in the case against Mr Reddy and others. It had then issued summons against eight accused in the case, including the YSR Congress chief, his financial advisor V Vijay Sai Reddy, director of Raghuram Cements J Jaganmohan Reddy and former director of mines V D Rajagopal among others, with a direction that they should appear before the court on November 7.

Accordingly, Mr Reddy and others accused appeared before the court and they furnished personal bond of Rs 25,000 each and two sureties of like amount, which they submitted through their counsels.

The court then posted the matter for December 3.

The eighth charge sheet was filed against Mr Reddy and others on September 10 relating to the issue of grant of limestone mining lease over an extent of 2,037.52 acres in Kadapa district to Raghuram Cements Ltd in "gross violation of rules and procedures".

The court will hear Mr Reddy's plea, seeking further relaxation on his bail conditions to allow him to visit other states and also without having to inform the CBI on his tour itinerary, on November 12.
