Everyone knows that a little black dress is perfect for any occasion. In a recent photoshoot, however, Shruti Haasan is proving the same point but with a gorgeous black saree. Shruti Haasan draped herself in a jet-black silk organza saree, from the shelves of the fashion label Torani. The ethnic wonder was finished with a scalloped border with heavily embroidered gota work. She added a three-fourth sleeve blouse with a scoop neckline too. A pair of jhumkas, a studded bangle, and a bunch of rings gave a regal touch. Her makeup included contoured cheeks, soft kohl, and red lips and a black bindi sealed the deal. Blame it on the saree, the makeup, or the noir setup, but we were instantly sent to another bygone era.

We all know that Shruti Haasan's punk rock aesthetic is the best gothic fashion inspiration in Bollywood. But she is a saree girl too. She picked a teal green drape featuring circular gota work patches all over. Underneath, she wore a three-fourth sleeve blouse with a similar colour combination. Shruti went all out with her accessory game, as she picked a sleek pearl necklace, earrings, a bunch of rings and a studded bracelet. Leaving her locks open, she opted for minimal glam with contoured cheeks, nude brown lips, dramatic eyes, and a bindi to top it off.
Traditional and goth fashion are poles apart. But, Shruti Haasan manages to merge the two. The Result? A unique traditional outfit. She teamed this gorgeous traditional Assamese saree with a Victorian-inspired silk blouse. It had a high neck collar, keyhole detail and elongated sleeves to fit the brief. The silver accessories further gave a traditional touch to her outing.
Shruti Haasan's traditional wardrobe definitely deserves our attention. In this bright red printed anarkali, she looked drop-dead gorgeous. The ensemble, from fashion label Anushree, featured a floor-touching kurta and a cape, sporting a similar print. A belt around the waist tied the outfit together. For accessories, she only picked a pair of oxidised jhumkas. While her makeup was on point with brown smokey eyes and glossy brown lips, she dressed her voluminous black hair with fresh red roses.

There is no doubt that there's not a single black outfit that doesn't make the cut in her wardrobe. When it comes to anarkalis though, the actress loves bright colours. This time with a fashion designer Manish Malhotra touch. Shruti Haasan looked like a dream in a beautiful and heavily embroidered dark blue anarkali. The full sleeve number was laced with gota work from top to bottom. She carried a sheer dupatta with a wide strap of gota work around the borders. Statement studs and a choker necklace with a green stone studded right in the centre, Shruti's minimal yet elegant accessories complemented her ethnic style.
While Shruti Haasan's goth fashion is quite popular, it looks like her ethnic outings also deserve a close look.
