We love their style on the court, pitch and field and we are equally smitten when they glam up for the red carpet. India's top sportswomen, led by tennis ace Sania Mirza, attended the Indian Sports Honours in Mumbai earlier this week where they did a good job not letting Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma hog all the limelight. Some of these women, like Sania, are old hands at dressing up for big ticket events. Others are relatively new to the game, if we may call it that. Here's a round-up of red carpet style as seen on our favourite women in sports.
Sania Mirza, Tennis
Sania, whose best friend is actress Parineeti Chopra and who's been on shows like Koffee With Karan, knows a thing or two about putting her best foot forward not just on the court but off it. A fashion risk-taker at heart, Sania shone in a metallic pantsuit at the Indian Sports Honours. Outfit courtesy Manish Malhotra.
PV Sindhu, Badminton
Sindhu covered herself with glory at the Olympics and continues to do so. At the Indian Sports Honours, she glittered in a shimmering peach gown by Nandita Mahtani.

Saina Nehwal, Badminton
Shuttler Saina Nehwal was also dressed to impress. She wore an ensemble by Neeta Lulla, for whom she's walked the ramp.

Mithali Raj, Cricket
Mithali Raj, who led the Indian team to the finals of 2017 ICC Women's World Cup, was named the Best Sportswoman in Team Sport category and also collected the award for Team of the Year on behalf of her side at the Indian Sports Honours. She made quite an appearance in a pink dress. Mithali was last seen rocking the cover of Vogue India's 10th anniversary issue with Shah Rukh Khan and Nita Ambani.
