Over the past few years, Mira Kapoor's name has become synonymous with wellness. Not just because she is the founder of Dhun Wellness, but because she is always sharing personal anecdotes that have helped her in her journey.

Whether it's skincare, working out, or simply taking some time off to rejuvenate, the entrepreneur is always at the forefront of preaching how imperative it is to take care of yourself and your family before you think about anyone else.

"What's the big deal about wellness? There isn't; it's about small habits practised consistently that will always deliver visible and measurable results," she wrote in the caption of her recent post on Instagram. The businesswoman also shared 10 everyday habits that have been crucial in her wellness journey.

Skin Is The Reflection Of The Body

Mira Kapoor mentioned that the skin is a reflection of what is happening inside the body. "That's my self-check method. And my focus is healthy and regulated barrier," she added. She warned her fans not to take their skin lightly.

Referring to her tiny, almost invisible zit, she mentioned that it was already on its way out, but revealed that it was the result of her liver not being too happy a while ago.

Walk As Much As You Can

When was the last time you walked? Mira Kapoor is a preacher of walking. "I walk for an hour 5 times a week," she said, sharing that she used to enjoy strength training and pilates, but a relapsed spinal injury has put that on hold. However, she suggested that everyone should find some form of movement that works for them.

Enjoy Activities

For most of us, doomscrolling has become an essential part of a daily routine. Our heads are mostly looking down, so much so that we often miss out on what is happening around us. The businesswoman advised her fans to enjoy small activities and look up and down, instead of "just down and scroll."

Understand Your Body

Since no two bodies are the same, what works for one person may not work for another. While the internet is flooded with information about protein intake, it's essential to understand how much is right for your own body. High protein intake didn't suit Mira Kapoor, so she doesn't overdo it and keeps her intake in check.

On Spoon Of Gulkand Every Day

Mira Kapoor is a big believer in Ayurveda, which is why she focuses on holistic wellness. Sharing one of her habits, she wrote, "One spoon of Gulkand after lunch every day. Keeps Pitta in check and soothes a fiery system like mine that's prone to acidity and acne."

Balanced Diet Is The Key

The entrepreneur often shares glimpses of what she enjoys eating, but she also keeps her calorie intake in check. She revealed that while her lunches may be boring, her dinners always have to be fun.

Nose Drops

She practises nose drops twice a day. "This is for my spinal injury. In Ayurveda, the nose is the doorway for the brain and cervical spine. Traditional wisdom is today's intelligence," Mira Kapoor shared.

Netra Tarpan

Mira Kapoor also practises netra tarpan, an Ayurvedic therapy which involves bathing the eyes with lukewarm water and medicated ghee held within a dough ring around the eyes for at least half an hour. "The clarity of vision, both literal and metaphorical. I could feel a catharsis of emotions as well," she added.

Red Light Therapy

Not just Mira Kapoor, many celebrities and dermatologists swear by using red light before bed. According to a Cleveland Clinic report, it is beneficial to treat redness, wrinkles, scars, and acne. "Cellular repair, better sleep and firmer skin. 20 mins. Why would I skip it?" the entrepreneur shared.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage refers to a gentle squeezing technique to stimulate the natural flow of the lymph fluid. It can help to reduce swelling and detoxify the body. "I do this once a month, and the results are instant and visible. The lymphatic system needs a reset, too. Especially with frequent travel," shared Mira Kapoor.

If you're looking to kick-start your wellness journey, taking cues from Mira Kapoor's everyday habits could be a great place to begin.
