
In some way or another, it feels like everyone is stressed. From to-do lists that never get ticked off and dates that don't show to wondering how you're going to pay rent or keep yourself safe, at almost every situation you encounter, it seems like there's something to be stressed about. Most of those items tend to dissipate over days or weeks and eventually are out of the mind. When you're highly stressed however, that isn't the case. High stress can be the result of numerous situations like mortgage that is struggling to be paid, college fees, divorce, lack of growth in your career etc. The worry begins when stressful situations like these aren't handled properly. Even if you think you've got a handle on it, it can creep into your life and manifest itself through physical symptoms.
That's why it's very important to watch out for these symptoms showing up in your daily life as they are a signal to make drastic changes to your lifestyle and cut down on stress or else, your health will pay the price.

1. Physically Tense
Do you subconsciously find your body very tense with slouched shoulders, clenched jaws and tightened muscles? Tension felt through the body may be ideal to prevent from physical injury but on regular days, it can only add more fatigue.
2. Headaches
Occasional headaches are fine but if it happens frequently and takes form of migraine, then it isn't. Tightness in the surrounding area of the shoulders and neck are also a sign of stress that a body is going through.

3. Acne
When you're anxious about a project or stressed about family matters, have you noticed how pimples crop up? It's because stress increases the skin's sebum which leads to acne popping up on your face.

4. Nervous Stomach
Digestive issues like acidity can also be caused when your body doesn't know how to properly process stress. Aptly called 'nervous stomach', it is when situations take a toll on the gut health.
5. Disturbed Sleep
When you can't sleep through the night, you can bet it's something serious. Stress can disturb sleep and further lead to more mental and physical issues.
