You might think that losing weight is completely dependent on what you eat and how much time you spend working out at the gym, but even the little things you do everyday can help you reach closer to your target. If you lead a hectic life, with a 9 to 9 kind of job, making it to the gym or even the park behind your house to get in a workout can feel impossible. Luckily for you, there are still things you can do through the day that'll help you burn calories and keep you feeling fit. Here are some incredibly simple ways to burn more calories through the day.

1. Take A Lunch Break

There's one thing most fit people do - they keep moving through the day. Even if they hit the gym 5 times a week, the negative effects of sitting all day without taking breaks in between cannot be ignored. A lunch break, away from your desk, is essential because not only does it give your mind the much needed break it needs, but also your body. Getting up from your desk and going to eat at your office cafe requires movement - and any amount of movement, cannot be a bad thing. Even if you end up taking a 100 steps, it's better than nothing. Plus, since you're already up and away from your desk, you might feel more up to taking a post lunch walk.

2. Bathroom Break = 10 Squats

Exercise doesn't always need to be done together at one place or time. If you don't have time to hit a gym or an actual place of exercise, make your office a place where you can get at least some exercise in. Make a rule for yourself to squat ever time you get up to take a bathroom break. If you're not comfortable squatting in the women's room, just stretch, jump - but do something. That little bit of extra movement can guarantee some good amount of extra calories burnt.

3. Walk For Your Water

Instead of keeping a large bottle of water at your desk, walk to the water dispenser every time you feel thirsty. Getting in your 8 glasses of water a day is essential for better skin, and important for your digestive system too - so that should be incentive enough.
